CR-11334:  New columns will not be automatically added to filters

In response to Community feedback, when you add a new column to a List view as part of a new feature, that column will not be added to your saved filters if they have a custom column configuration associated with them.

Note: For saved filters without a custom column configuration, the new column will be added to the filter results.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11384: Update to Approaching and/or Running late notifications

To prevent instances where an Approaching/Running late notification is sent while a driver is waiting to load/unload at a location, Turvo will no longer send automatic delivery location links for these notifications if the driver has checked in at the location.

See How to send Turvo delivery location links for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11543: Tag sharing to individual accounts and Always share toggle re-enabled

To address performance, we temporarily disabled tag sharing to individual accounts or using the Always share option. In this release, we’ve re-enabled tag sharing on customer tenants with less than 12,000 connected accounts.

Note: Default tag sharing is enabled for new shipments only. Editing the sharing settings for an existing tag will not affect sharing on existing shipments.

See How to manage tags for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

TurvoNet (TNet)

CR-10417: Shared/connected tenant settings now self-serve

Tenant configurations for shared/connected tenants are now available in the UI account settings. Previously, the process required for a current Turvo tenant to invite, add, and configure a newly created shared tenant required submitting a support ticket.

See Self-service Networking and How to share shipments and orders with partners for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11399: Enhanced driver location verification

In the 2022-R2 release, Turvo added a config to disallow drivers from marking their shipments complete if their location shows that they are outside the geofence. That configuration was applied at the tenant level.

Brokers now have the ability to enable this setting for individual carriers.

See Viewing and editing carrier details for more details.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-7477: New Shipper home page

Turvo now offers a shipper-centric dashboard option that displays relevant and actionable information on tasks, orders, inventory, and shipments.

Additionally, Admin users can now select from different dashboard options by changing the settings in the Admin console. The Dashboard options are:

  • Carrier view
  • Broker view
  • Shipper view
  • Legacy view (this is the current user’s/tenant’s view)

See Using the Dashboard for smart insights for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: Yes

CR-9105: Export order List view to Excel

We added the ability to export orders from the List view as an .xlxs file.

See How to navigate in Turvo for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-9858: Appointment Scheduling available through API

Turvo has introduced a CRUD feature that gives users the ability to create, read, update, and delete appointment scheduling through the API.

See How to use Turvo’s self-service Public API & Webhooks for more information about APIs.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10603: Exclude inactive items from being added to Shipments and Orders

We added a filtering process so that items marked as Inactive will no longer display as selectable for orders and shipments.

See Managing advanced item details for more information on active and inactive items.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10850: Appointment scheduling enhancement

Tenants with appointment scheduling enabled now have the ability to decide what types of orders the appointment can be scheduled for. Appointment scheduling now supports Warehouse, Transportation, Customer orders, or any combination of the three.

See How to configure appointment scheduling settings in the Admin console for more details.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10988: New direction setting for orders

We added a tenant-level configuration in the Admin console for how direction is set for orders: automatically based on Origin/Destination, manually during/after order creation, manually via integration, or no direction required.

See Understanding and updating tenant settings for more information.

Settlements

CR-11183: Additional shipment cost items

In response to community feedback, we’ve added the following options to the Item drop-down when adding costs in a shipment’s Customers or Carriers block.

  • Accessorial - Chassis Flip
  • Accessorial - Chassis Per Diem
  • Accessorial - Chassis Rental
  • Other - Congestion Fee
  • Other - Dry Run
  • Other - Hold Release Amount
  • Other - Port Congestion Fee
  • Other - Port Fee
  • Other - Usage Fee
  • Other - Yard Storage
  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11432: Increased frequency for available credit updates

We’ve updated the Available credit fields found in your customers' account profiles and in the Turvo Reports > Customer > Customer Summary report to update approximately every ten minutes, rather than once every 24 hours.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: Yes

CR-11690: Major updates to Fuel Surcharge Plans

We’ve overhauled the fuel surcharge plan feature that was released in 2022-R2 by making the following changes:

  • We’ve reduced the manual input needed to create your plan’s initial fuel cost ranges. Upon creation of the FSC plan, you can use the Add cost range modal to create a fuel cost range table where the cost ranges are calculated automatically based on the parameters that you input. You can also manually create additional cost ranges after plan creation.
  • The Cost item type field was removed from the FSC plan creation modal. All plans create either a Cost per mile or % of freight fuel surcharge cost item, depending on the Surcharge basis chosen.
  • Cost range tables are now based on the origin/destination location. This allows you to apply multiple cost range tables to the same FSC plan for different shipment routes.
  • Along with the existing customer and carrier account-level FSC plan configurations, you can now apply plans at the tenant level and to contracts and global rates.
    • The Fuel tab was removed from contracts and global rates in favor of a Fuel surcharge plans section in the contract’s/global rate’s Details tab. This allows a single FSC plan to be used across many contracts/global rates.
Important note: No user action is required to update the fuel surcharges on your contracts and/or global rates. As part of the rollout of these changes, Turvo will automatically create new FSC plans in your tenant, based on the fuel surcharge parameters on your existing Active contracts and global rates, and apply the FSC plan to the contract’s/global rate’s Fuel surcharge plans setting.
    • FSC plans applied at the tenant level can be used to create fuel surcharges for all of your customers or carriers, unless a contract-/global rate-level or customer/carrier account-level FSC plan configuration applies.
  • FSC plans no longer have an Active or Inactive status. You can now use the Archive function to remove outdated or unused FSC plans.

See Creating and assigning fuel surcharge plans to learn more about the updated process.

Note: For users already utilizing FSC plans, your existing FSC plans will be migrated if they are in the Active status under the previous version.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

Admin

CR-10624: Upload custom user roles using TDI

You can now upload custom user roles into Turvo through the Permissions field of the TDI User and Group .csv files.

Note: You need to create customized roles in the Turvo UI before uploading data for the roles in TDI.

See TDI field mapping tables – User for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11058: Customization of Roles & permissions

We updated Roles & Permissions in the Admin console to enable Super Admins to customize, create, and edit user roles. Super Admins can also edit the permissions associated with each role. Super Admins can grant permission to create and edit custom roles to non-Super Admin users too.

See How to create and manage users for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11187 and CR-11188: Configuration update to enable the ability to toggle invites on or off

To control when the user invite email is sent after a new user is created in your tenant, we created the User invitation configuration in the business rules for Users in the Admin console. Uninvited users are identified (and can be filtered) by the new Not invited status in the Users list or single view.

See Configuring business rules for users for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11730: Increase the number of public API profiles per tenant

Until now, there was an upper limit of 5 public API profiles per tenant. That has now been increased to 10 public profiles per tenant.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

Marketplace

CR-9850: Routing guide enhancements

We enabled the ability to apply a routing guide after a shipment is created. You can also turn the routing guide off in the shipment details. Previously, you could only apply a routing guide during the creation of a shipment.

See How to use Turvo’s routing guide for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10035: Trigger an exception for uninsured carriers

If a carrier without insurance accepts an offer, an exception is now created on the Shipments page. The shipment will not move to Covered status until the carrier insurance information is added.

See How to send an offer to a carrier for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10156: New Parade (Parade.ai) integration

We are introducing a standard integration with Parade, a digital freight matching system that provides a forum for shippers/brokers to find carriers that can cover their loads quickly and efficiently. When enabled, Turvo sends the shipment information to Parade and pulls the real-time capacity, quote, and booking information into the Turvo platform.

See Turvo's Parade integration for more details on enabling the integration.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: Yes

CR-10369: Routing Guide zip code enhancement

Routing guide users now have the ability to enter a three-digit zip code when creating a routing guide. This allows you to cover a larger area with a routing guide.

See How to use Turvo's routing guide for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10495: Improved Marketplace Assets tab

We upgraded the Assets tab in Marketplace to provide more information and organization. When a filter is applied, results are now categorized into the following sections:

  • Reported
  • Nearby shipment
  • Past shipments
  • Quotes
  • Removed

See How to post and share asset capacity for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11024: Routing guide can be enabled from the Admin Console

Previously, you had to submit a support ticket to enable routing guide functionality. We added the ability to toggle on routing guides in the Rules section of the Admin Console

See How to use Turvo’s routing guide for more information about routing guides.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11071: Carrier offer enhancements

When receiving an offer, carriers now see the items, including the handling quantity and weight, broken out for each stop.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11390: Post routing guides to carrier groups

You now have the ability to send a routing guide to carrier groups.

Previously, you could only send a routing guide sequence to an individual carrier with a carrier offer or post it to the entire network of carriers.

See How to use Turvo’s routing guide for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11645: Carrier offer enhancement for adding multiple email addresses

We now support adding multiple email addresses for the same carrier when creating an offer.

See How to send an offer to a carrier for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11670: DAT enhancements for private network and booking requests

In the 2022-R2 release, Turvo introduced a DAT integration that could post from Turvo to DAT. The integration allowed a carrier to book from DAT and have the booking information fed back into Turvo.

This integration has been enhanced to allow posting the shipments to a DAT private load board and receiving all booking requests and bids from the private and public load board into the Turvo platform. This allows greater flexibility in receiving, reviewing, and accepting bookings.

See How to post a shipment to DAT and ITS for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11678: Find contracts by matching parameters and pre-defined precedence rules

Previously, while rating the customer and carrier on a shipment, contracts matching the shipment criteria were pulled and ordered based on cost.

You now have the option to order these results based on how closely the contract matches the shipment.

See Understanding and updating tenant settings for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

TEP

CR-6515: Reduced requirements for shipment auto planning

We reduced the required information needed to utilize the order-to-shipment auto planning features. While using auto planning, orders with missing optional or mandatory details will be flagged so that you can see the orders that need to be updated before you can proceed. If optional fields are left empty, a SKIP & PROCEED button will allow you to continue with shipment creation based on the selected orders.

Note: Equipment and item details are optional and pickup/delivery date and location details remain mandatory.

See Order to shipment planning for more details.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10631: Updates to distance provider configurations (PC Miler)

We added the ability to configure a distance provider for shipments in your tenant. Turvo will calculate distance using the distance provider for newly created shipments and will recalculate distance for shipments that are shared to your tenant.

The existing customer account-level configuration is still available for lane rates on that customer’s contracts.

See How to configure distance provider parameters to learn more about distance provider rule configurations.

Note: At this time, the only available configurations are for Turvo’s default distance provider or for PC Miler. A PC Miler account and API key are required.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: Yes

CR-11239, CR-11579, and CR-11631: LTL shipment rating and booking integration optimizations

We made the following updates and bug fixes to our partner integrations for LTL shipments:

  • For the P44 integration: An issue has been corrected where copying an LTL shipment did not copy all key item attributes, such as Freight class and Gross weight.
Shipments created in Turvo that use P44 for rating & booking will now send the Turvo Shipment ID to P44 to allow users that utilize resellers to link the Turvo shipment to the P44 load.
  • For the Banyan integration: During shipment booking, LTL shipments using the Banyan integration now display a breakdown of costs in the Book shipment modal. Previously, all costs were merged into a single line item.
    • An issue has been corrected where Turvo was not capturing shipment documents uploaded via Banyan.
    • Your customers now receive LTL carrier quotes directly from their own Banyan account while rating a shipment. If they are receiving quotes through your Banyan account, your markup cost is applied automatically.
  • Both P44 & Banyan: Services added to a shipment rated in Turvo via P44 or Banyan will now be mapped to the matching shipment in P44/Banyan as an accessorial. Turvo will retrieve the pricing from P44/Banyan and add the service as a cost item for the carrier/customer.
  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11406: Bulk update the status for multi-modal shipments

You can now use the bulk shipment update feature to update the status of multi-modal shipments if the selected shipments' route segments share the same modes.

See How to bulk update shipments to learn more about this feature.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11581: New equipment types for TL (truckload) shipments:

We added the following equipment types for TL shipments:

  • Ag hopper
  • Auger feed truck
  • Flatbed - Quad-axle
  • Flatbed - Quad-axle rolltite
  • Flatbed - Super B
  • Isotank
  • Van - sprinter
  • Van - Tri-axle dry
  • Walking floor
  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11772: Intermodal added as a Shipment mode option

We added Intermodal as an option in the Mode field when creating a shipment. In the 2021-R5 release, Turvo renamed the Intermodal mode to Drayage. However, this new Intermodal mode operates differently from the previous one.

Rather than one shipment with multiple route legs for each mode change, new intermodal shipments will include only one route segment, with only the origin pickup and destination delivery. All stops for transfers between modes between the pickup and delivery are not listed.

Note: This feature has been made available to all tenants, but its use is optional. You can still create a shipment with multiple route segments with multiple modes, as described in Managing details for shipments with multiple customers, carriers, and route legs.

See the Intermodal Shipment Guide for more information about utilizing the Intermodal mode.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-11885: New Intermodal modes available for order-to-shipment planning

Turvo’s order-to-shipment planning features can now be used to manually plan multiple orders into, or add a shipment directly from, a shipment with Rail, Ocean, Parcel, or Intermodal transportation modes. These features were previously limited to creating truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and Drayage shipments.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

Integrations

CR-8577: Enable Turvo ingestion and storage of Sensitech Exception alerts

We are enhancing the Sensitech integration to ingest alerts sent by Sensitech when the sensor temperature exceeds a minimum or maximum range. This alert appears in Turvo as an exception.

See Turvo’s Sensitech integration for more information.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No - However the temperature ingestion requires enablement by Sensitech for your instance before being available in Turvo.

CR-9897: Dynamics GP integration update

Turvo’s integration with Dynamics GP now includes a Pay to field.

See Turvo’s Financial Management System integrations article in the Help Center for more information.

Data

CR-9910:  Filtering the Invoice customer report by Billing status

We added a Billing status option to the Reports > Billing > Invoice customer report. Previously, this report identified shipments that do not yet have a customer invoice. The Billing status filter allows you to further refine your report to see shipments with specific billing statuses, such as Needs docs or Needs POD.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: No

CR-10183: Carrier sales leaderboard card for the Dashboard

We added a Carrier sales leaderboard card for the Dashboard. This card lists the top five carrier account owners based on the total margin revenue for the shipments that are assigned to them during the date range applied to the Dashboard’s filter.

See Using the Dashboard for smart insights to learn more.

  • Requires enablement by Turvo: Yes

CR-10895: Updates to Daily shipment volume card
