Turvo Reports - Customers

The Customers card in Turvo Reports enables users to view data regarding their status, billing, and the shipments/account owners for customers and brokers.

Note: Some categories and some reports within each category may not be available on your tenant, depending on your current configuration.

Important note: All reports in the Customers card require an applied filter to show results in the Summary card, and the GENERATE REPORT function must be used to view individual results. For instructions on how to use the filter functions to create reports, see our article Turvo Reports at a glance.

Customer Summary

The Customer Summary report provides detailed customer data, from the number of shipments to their available credit line. The results of this report are presented by the customer, but only for customers with shipments that match the applied filter.

Summary card for the Customer Summary report

The Summary card for the Customer Summary report displays the following data for customers that match the applied filter:

  • Customer bill: The total amount billed to the listed customer(s) for the shipments.
  • A/R: The total amount of outstanding payment owed by your customer(s), across all shipments. This is calculated once every 24 hours, and is not affected by the applied filter.
  • Customers: The total number of customers for the shipments. 
  • Net revenue: The total net revenue for all of the shipments.
  • Shipment volume: The total number of shipments associated with the listed customer(s).
  • Margin: The total margin for all of the shipments (The total net revenue divided by the total customer bill).

Information included in the Customer Summary report

The report considers the following information in each customer, all of which are available as columns in the report’s list view:

Customer - The customer being summarized.

Customer status - Indicates if the customer is Active or Inactive.

Shipments - Total number of shipments associated with the customer.

Customer Bill - Total amount billed to the customer for the shipments.

Net revenue - Total revenue for the shipments.

Margin - Total revenue margin for the shipments.

A/R - Amount billable to the customer.

Available credit - The current available credit the customer has with your organization.

Account owner - The User who manages the customer account.

Account Creator - The user that created the customer account.

Created Date - Date of creation of the customer account.

 

Filtering for the Customer Summary report

The Customer Summary report offers the following filter options to review the data on your customers:

  • Date range: Use the Pickup/Delivery toggle and fields to filter for customers associated with shipments with a pickup or delivery appointment date that falls within the indicated date range.
    • Use the default Custom selection in the drop-down and then enter a beginning and end date, or;
    • Use the drop-down to select from the following options to automatically input dates:
      • Today
      • Past week
      • This week
      • Next week
      • Past month
      • This month
      • Next month
    • Important note: You must apply the Date range filter options for the report to function.
  • Create date: Use this date range filter to find customers whose accounts were created on your tenant within the indicated date range.
    • The fields in this filter option work the same as the Date range filter listed above.
    • Note: To get results using this filter, the customer account must have been created between the dates indicated in the Create date fields and the customer must have had shipments with pickup or delivery appointment dates that fall within the dates indicated in Date range.
  • Groups: Use this filter to see customers with shipments that are associated with the selected group(s). Type in a group name and select from the matching results shown below.
    • Multiple groups can be included in the filter.
    • Leave this field blank to include all groups.
  • Shipment Status: Use the Is/Is Not toggle and the drop-down to select and filter for customers with shipments that are, or are not, in one of the selected statuses.
    • Leave this field blank to include all statuses.
    • Leave this field blank to include all statuses.
  • Customer: Use this filter to see shipments for the selected customer. Type in a customer account’s name and select from the matching results shown below.
    • Multiple customer accounts can be added to the filter. 
    • Leave this field blank to include all customers.
  • Customer Status: Use the drop-down to select and filter for customers with one or more of the selected account status(es).
    • Leave this field blank to include all statuses.
  • Account owner: Use this filter to see shipments associated with the selected customer account owner. Type in an account owner’s name and select from the matching results shown below.
    • Only one account owner can be added to the filter.
    • Leave this field blank to include all account owners.
  • Account creator: Use this filter to include customers accounts that were created by a specific user on your tenant.
    • Only one user account can be added to the filter.
    • Leave this field blank to include all customers, regardless of the account creator.

Broker summary

The Broker Summary report summarizes the contributions to the organization made by individual account owners within your organization. The results of this report are presented by the account owner, but only for shipments that match the applied filter.

The Summary card for the Broker summary report displays the following data for customers that match the applied filter:

  • Customer bill: The total amount billed to the customer(s) for the shipments associated with the listed account owners.
  • Net revenue: The total net revenue for all of the shipments associated with the account owners.
  • Account owner: The total number of account owners with shipments.
  • Shipments: The total number of shipments.
  • Margin: The total margin for all of the shipments (The total net revenue divided by the total customer bill).

The report considers the following information in each broker or account owner, all of which are available as columns in the report’s list view:

Account owner - Account owner user or Broker.

Shipments - Total shipments associated with the account owner/broker within the date range.

Customer Bill - Total amount billed to the customer for the shipments within the date range.

Net revenue - Total revenue for the shipments within the date range.

Margin - Total revenue margin for the shipments within the date range.

  • Date range: Use the Pickup/Delivery toggle and fields to filter for account owners associated with shipments with a pickup or delivery appointment date that falls within the indicated date range.

  • Customer: Use this filter to see account owners with shipments for the selected customer. Type in a customer account’s name and select from the matching results shown below.
    • Only one customer account can be added to the filter.
    • Leave this field blank to include all customers.
