TDI field mapping tables - Asset

Before starting an upload, make sure you have read the information available in the Introduction to TDI and Importing data with TDI articles and followed the guidance provided.

Prerequisites:

None required. However, because assets are typically associated with a carrier, we recommend uploading the Carrier entity first, as well as the entities that should be uploaded before Carrier.

Important note: Fields bolded and marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

id*

Unique system ID for the asset within the Asset entity. This ID is used anytime you would like to make updates or changes to the asset in TDI or when using TDI to associate additional details to the asset. If you do not have an existing ID to use in this field, you will need to create one.

vehicle_type*

Indicates the vehicle type.

Equipment and asset type codes

Use the table linked in the Value/codes column. Enter the corresponding four-digit code to designate the vehicle type.

vin

Vehicle Identification Number.

notes

Notes or additional details about the asset.

account.id

The Carrier ID for the carrier that the asset belongs to.

Carrier IDs can be found in the ID column of the carrier.csv upload sheet.

license.number

License plate number.

License plate country.

Enter the two-letter country code found in the Country codes table.

asset.number

The asset number used to identify the asset.

Note: If you are configuring a telematics integration, this number may need to match the asset number in your telematics platform.

Vehicle make.

Enter the corresponding four-digit code to designate the asset’s size.

Asset class.

Enter the corresponding five-digit code to designate the asset’s class.


Use the table linked in the Value/codes column. 

color

Asset color.

Enter the weight of the asset.

Integers only.


Units of measure are automatically selected based on your tenant’s locale.

status

Indicates the asset’s availability status. Availability determines whether the asset can be booked on a shipment. 

AVAILABLE

UNAVAILABLE

Enter AVAILABLE to indicate it is available to be booked on shipments. Enter UNAVAILABLE to indicate it cannot be booked.

sensor.provider

If you have configured a telematics integration with a supported provider, the provider is indicated here.

Sensor Provider codes table

Enter the code that corresponds to the linked telematics provider. Only one telematics integration can exist per tenant.

Use the table linked in the Value/codes column. 

sensor.deviceId

A custom ID code that is generated and managed by Turvo for each sensor device.

Sensor ID of the telematics tracking device.

mode

The mode of transport associated with the equipment.

If no mode is provided, the mode will default to TL.

vesselName

Indicates the name of the vessel for Ocean assets.

Indicates the Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) associated with Ocean assets.

Indicates the International Maritime Organization (IMO) number associated with Ocean assets.

Indicates the container number associated with a container asset.
