Understanding the Fast Action Button (FAB)

The Fast Action Button (or FAB) within Turvo allows you to take action on shipments, orders, offers, etc. without having to leave the card view. Know that whenever you see the blue lightning bolt button, you can click it to take action!

Outlined below are the capabilities of the FAB and where you can find it throughout your Turvo tenant.

FAB options

Depending on where the FAB is located in the tenant, you’ll have the following options to choose from:

  • Post update: Manually post a status update on a shipment, order or offer from the card.
  • Asset availability: Update any asset availability you’re aware of for the carrier (i.e. trucks, van, etc).
  • Set appointment: Enter the details of the pickup/drop-off appointment for the carrier/driver. This information also informs the #approachinglate and #runninglate tags.
    • Note: This does not schedule an appointment with the actual facility. To determine how your delivery appointments are scheduled, reach out to the appropriate member of your team.
  • Task: View or add/assign tasks for a particular shipment. Be aware these are available for others to see!
  • Tag: Add/remove appropriate tags to an order, a shipment, or offer through stages of your organization’s workflow and as a shipment progresses through a route. Tags can also be added to customer or carrier accounts, items, contacts, and locations to provide additional information on the entity that is available at a glance, such as whether a carrier has Quickpay terms or a contact needs to be flagged as difficult to reach.
  • Exception: View or add exceptions for the shipment.
  • Contact: Depending on the status of the shipment, it displays the contact information for the shipper and carrier contacts, the route stops, and assigned groups.
  • Add offer: You can add an offer to a carrier’s asset.
  • Account status: Update the status of a customer, carrier or factor account to either Active or Inactive, as well as add any notes.
    • Note: Only those with Admin and Super admin access can change customer status. Those with any other type of access can still add notes.
  • Add asset availability: Update any asset availability you’re aware of for the carrier. This option also allows for bulk imports of assets via CSV import.
  • Contract status: Update the status of a contract to either Active or Inactive.
