Notification type glossary

Notifications are available under Turvo's notification rules framework housed in your user profile.

Notification rules can be broad or more granular depending on how much criteria you add to the rule. Each rule consists of a "When" event to indicate the reason for the notification. Adding additional criteria to the rule makes the rule more specific, allowing you to target key events that require your attention instead of only broad events.

The following table details the "When" events and a description of what they do. Each rule can only have one "When" event.

Instructions on how to set up notification rules for your own account can be found in How to manage and configure notification rules or in Video: Setting up notification rules.

Turvo also offers Admin users and above the ability to configure default notification rules that apply to all users with certain roles. These rules use the same notification types described here. See our Configuring default notification rules for all users with a specific role article to learn more about this feature.

Protip: "When" events have a broad scope. We recommend adding additional criteria, like a specific set of customers, tags, or locations that you need to receive notifications for the "When" event. Otherwise, the notification will trigger each time that event occurs in your tenant.
