User profile overview: Understanding all the tabs

Accessing your user profile

Once logged in, you may access your user profile by clicking on the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen, and then clicking your name. We also have a video on this topic! Check out the Editing your user profile video.

Uploading a profile photo

In the upper left corner, there is a circle with your initials in it. Click the circle to upload a profile photo from your computer.

Note: A photo has already been uploaded in the example above. Use this process if you need to  import a new photo.

Under your profile photo, there are multiple tabs corresponding to different sections of information regarding your account:

Summary

The profile Summary tab is always the first page you land on when you access your profile.

You will see a Details card on the Summary tab with relevant account information, such as primary email address and phone number. Clicking Edit within the Details card will take you to the profile Details tab to allow editing an updating of basic information.

If there are Notes on your profile, you will see a Notes card on your Summary tab as well. However, if you don't have any notes on your profile, this card will not be available on your Summary tab.

Details

The Details tab of your profile contains two sections: Profile and Settings. Clicking on either of these section headers will expand them to show editable details.

Profile details

In the Profile section, you can update or change your name, your address(es), or your phone number(s).

Two things to note in this section:

  • Email: Your email address is your username. Changing your primary email address will not change your username. The specific email address you created your account with will remain your username regardless of changes made here.
  • + Add email: You may add additional email addresses if necessary.

If any of the Profile fields are edited, the CANCEL or SAVE buttons appear at the bottom right corner of the section. Make sure to click SAVE to save your changes.

Settings

The Settings section expands to reveal Messenger translation, Permissions, and Load boards.

You don't need to edit anything in Messenger translation or Permissions, unless you need to enable translation into a specific language in the Messenger translation section. Ask your company's Turvo administrator about Permissions if you have questions.

Under Load boards, you can select which load boards you want to post shipments to.

Groups

Groups are used to streamline visibility, to ensure that multiple users see information that is relevant to their specific role or function within your organization.

For example, in the screenshot below you can see that Jane Doe has been assigned to two groups: mceclip3.png

You may see a button for + Add to group. If you see this button, you may add yourself to additional groups to expand your visibility within your organization.

Checking the Default view checkbox will update your current viewing ability to include that group. You may have multiple groups checked at once. An alternate way to change your group view is by clicking your profile icon in the top right corner, and updating the View as section:

From here, you can select or deselect groups as needed:

Make sure to click APPLY to save your changes.

Notes

The Notes section can be used to add a note to your own profile.

Important note: Notes are not private. Do not add any notes that you wish to keep private.

Timeline

The user Timeline shows updates made to your user account, not user activity across the tenant. Updates to your account information will show under the timeline with the time the update was made and who made the change.

Timeline updates with a blue More option on the left side can expand to show more information about the change. Click More to expand the entry and view the update.

Messenger

The Messenger tab shows all conversations you have had, whether they have been directly with an individual, a group, or within a shipment. The left-side box shows your conversation history. Clicking on a conversation brings it up in the middle message pane, allowing you to continue the conversation. The right-side pane shows participants in that particular conversation. You can add or remove participants from this list.

To start a new conversation within the Messenger tab, click the chat bubble icon in the upper right corner of the left-side box.

Then, type the contact’s name in the To field. Turvo will automatically search for contacts in the platform with that name. You may add multiple recipients to a message, or even message an entire Group by typing in the Group name.

All messages must have a “Conversation name”. This is similar to an email subject.

Use the paperclip to attach files to a message:

Pressing the Enter key or clicking the paper airplane icon will send your message to the recipient.

If you receive a reply, a blue notification icon will appear in the upper right corner screen on the message notification indicator:

Rules

Your Rules tab allows you to determine the kinds of notifications you would like to receive from Turvo and the actions that will trigger a notification for you.

You can choose which type of notification you would like to receive for each action. For more detailed information on notifications, see our How to manage and configure notification rules article. The following are explanations for each of the notification options:

  • Web app: The notification will appear in the notifications sidebar at the top right of the screen and will also cause the browser tab to flash to indicate a notification has been received.

  • Email: You will receive a notification at your primary email address.
  • Mobile notifications: You will receive notifications within the Turvo mobile app. This requires downloading and installing the mobile app on your mobile device.
  • Text message: You will receive an SMS message sent to your primary phone number.
