Do I need to have location services turned on?

For the best Turvo Driver app experience, we recommend that drivers set their location services to “Always”.

This allows improved tracking accuracy as you complete the shipment and keeps everyone on the same page about where the shipment is.

How do I enable location settings on my phone?

iOS

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services
  2. Make sure the toggle near Location Services is turned ON
  3. Scroll down and select Turvo Driver
  4. Select Always

Android

  1. Go to Settings > Security & Location > Location
  2. Make sure the toggle near Location Services is turned ON
  3. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Turvo Driver App > Permissions
  4. Make sure the toggle near Location is turned ON

I don’t want to be tracked constantly. Is the app always tracking me?

Absolutely not. The Turvo Driver app only tracks you when you are executing a shipment. As soon as the shipment reaches Route complete status, tracking stops.

If you need to pause location services while executing a shipment for a break between shifts or other breaks, you can use the On-duty/Off-duty toggle to put yourself into Off-Duty for a set amount of time. Once the timer is up, you’ll be automatically set into On-Duty and your shift will resume.

I’m in Off-duty mode, but need to resume my shift early or extend my break/edit my timer. How do I do that?

Click MODIFY in the Off-duty banner located at the bottom of your app screen. From there, you can choose to either MODIFY TIME to update your Off-duty timer, or RESUME NOW to immediately resume your shift and re-enable location services and in app notifications.

Why haven’t I received a verification code?

If it’s been a few moments and you haven’t received a verification code via SMS please try the following:

  1. Click Resend code. If you still do not receive an SMS, click Back.
  2. Make sure your phone number was entered correctly
  3. Double check the country code is correct for the phone number and try again
  4. If problems persist, reach out to your point of contact for Turvo

Why did the shipment disappear from the app?

  • Check if you have been removed from the shipment by reaching out to your dispatcher. If you’ve been removed, your access to the shipment is revoked.
  • Did you previously complete the shipment? Check your Past shipments list to see if it appears there.

If you click or tap on the the shipment invite link with a mobile device that has a different phone number than the number associated with your Turvo account you will receive the following message and will not be allow to access the shipment:
“You are trying to access a shipment associated with a different phone number. Please log in again with the correct phone number.”

Should I turn notifications on?

For the best experience, we recommend allowing notifications from the Turvo Driver app.

This helps to make sure important shipment updates & messages are seen and communicated promptly.

If notifications were previously turned off for the Turvo Driver app, this can be changed in the phone’s settings.

Where should I upload the BOL?

On the main shipment page at the top of the screen, there is an icon for Documents. Use this to upload the BOL, and you will be able to select Document type = BOL before you upload. You will be prompted to allow Turvo Driver to use your camera and must allow access.

What if I receive multiple shipments at the same time, how do I know which one to start?

With the Turvo Driver app on the shipments page, all of your available shipments will appear in order from first to last. The top shipment is the first one you should start. You can check all the start times by clicking in to the shipment just to be sure.
