Turvo Sharing enables organizations to connect and collaborate in real time across their transportation planning and execution activities. This can involve one organization inviting another to collaborate via connected Turvo tenants, allowing the two organizations to be connected on the Turvo Network.

- How to share an order with connected partners
Enable sharing with your partners
For those shipping partners that are ready to manage their workflows and collaborate in Turvo, they’ll first need their own Turvo tenant before sharing can be enabled on a shipment.
If some of your partners are not quite ready to make the jump over to Turvo and don’t have a Turvo tenant, you can also share shipments via the Links section of the Sharing tab. See our Help Center article to learn how to create and share Turvo links.
Note: Turvo links are only available for shipments. Orders cannot be shared via links at this time.
You'll know that you are working with a connected Turvo tenant when your customer or carrier account has a small blue Turvo icon in the lower right of their profile icon.
If a customer or carrier account does not have the blue Turvo icon, you have the ability to invite your business partners to join you in the Turvo network for free using our Self-service Networking feature! For more information around sending invites to your partners, see our article on Self-service Networking.
Note: Self-service networking is only available for Customer and Carrier accounts. If self-service networking isn’t enabled for your tenant and you’d like to invite your partners to join you on Turvo, reach out to Turvo Support. See our article to learn how to submit a support ticket.
How to share a shipment with connected partners
Once your partner has joined Turvo, you can then enable sharing with them inside of a shipment.
Step 1:
Create a new shipment or navigate to an existing shipment in your tenant using the left navigation or global search bar.
Step 2:
If they haven’t already, make sure your partners have been added to the shipment. Within a shipment, you can see added partners in the Details tab of the shipment under the Customer, Carriers, or Other accounts sections.
Note: Other accounts are categorized by their subcategories, such as Buyer, Supplier, etc (pictured below).
If adding a carrier or Other account to a shipment, you’ll see an option to toggle on sharing when entering the carrier name into the field. Make sure the Share toggle is ON and blue to enable sharing with your carrier. See our other articles for more information on manually adding carriers to your shipments.
Step 3:
Once your partner is added, navigate to the Sharing tab. In the Connections box, you’ll see all of the tenants that are being shared on the shipment or order including the customer, carrier, or any Other accounts that have been added.
Toggles in the ON position will be situated to the right and will be blue, whereas toggles that are OFF will be toggled to the left and will be grey. You can turn sharing on and off at any point, however turning sharing off after the shipment or order has been shared to a partner will NOT delete the shipment or order from their tenant. It will, however, prevent them from receiving further updates.
You can also add additional sharing accounts via the Sharing tab, if needed.
Click + Add account and select the Account name and Sharing role from the available drop-down menus. Sharing role indicates the type of account that’s being shared with. Sharing role types can include Customer, Carrier, Vendor, and Other account. Once the fields are complete, click the green check mark to save your changes.
Note: For more information on the details shared with your partners once they’re added to a shipment, see our Understanding shipment sharing in Turvo and How to create and use Other accounts in Turvo articles.
How to share an order with connected partners
Like with shipments, once your partner has their own Turvo tenant, you can enable sharing within your orders.
Step 1:
Create a new order, or navigate to an existing order in your tenant using the left navigation or global search bar.
Step 2:
If they haven’t already, make sure your partners have been added to the order. Within an order, navigate to the Details tab and look for the Customer, Carrier, and/or Other accounts segments.
If adding a Carrier to an order, you’ll see an option to toggle on sharing when entering the carrier name into the field. Make sure the Share toggle is ON and blue to enable sharing with your carrier. See our other articles for more information on manually adding carriers to your orders.
Step 3:
Once your partner is added, navigate to the Sharing tab. In the Connections box, you’ll see all of the tenants that are being shared on the order including the Customer, Carrier, or any Other accounts that have been added.
Toggles in the ON position will be situated to the right and will be blue, whereas toggles that are OFF will be toggled to the left and will be grey. You can turn sharing on and off at any point, however turning sharing off after the order has been shared to a partner will NOT delete the order from their tenant.
Note: For more information on the details shared with your partners once they’re added to an order, see our Understanding order sharing in Turvo and How to create and use Other accounts in Turvo articles.
