Turvo's 2023-R4 release is underway. This article outlines our planned key features for the 2023-R4 release.
Collaboration, visibility, and productivity (CVP)
- Automatic cost approval and rejection enhancements (CR-15747):
We are enhancing our automatic cost approval feature to automatically reject costs. This enhancement is designed to automatically reject costs that lead to higher payable costs that exceed threshold rates. This rule covers all of the cost categories, including freight, accessorial, service, tax and others in addition to covering the accessorial cost category. - Setting notification rules by roles (CR-14932):
This release, we are introducing the ability to set up notifications for each role so each user, regardless of their role, can have the required notifications for their specific job responsibilities. - Introducing Pickup Links (CR-14937):
We are creating pickup links that you can trigger automatically or manually. These pickup links are specific to track the on-time pickup of goods from the stop.
3PL
- Order and shipment update synchronization (CR-15798 and CR-15799):
In this release, you will be able to synchronize order changes to shipments automatically for each tenant-level attribute. When a customer, origin, destination, ship date, delivery date, service, or item changes on an order, Turvo will provide settings to determine if the updates from order to shipments will be propagated with these changes. - Inventory sub-status management (CR-15317 and CR-13150):
Users will be able to group by inventory sub-statuses in the inventory List views and see inventory records with multiple sub-statuses on the same screen. You will be able to add and remove sub-statuses at the location and customer location levels. - Gate code support for appointment scheduling (CR-13701):
For the 2023-R4 release, Turvo will support rolling gate code generation in Turvo’s appointment scheduling feature to communicate gate codes to carriers.
Rating and Freight Matching (RFM)
- Contracted rates when manually adding a cost line item (CR-14672 and CR-15553):
We are adding the ability for Turvo to automatically retrieve available contracted rates and calculated costs based on the user-entered quantity when you manually add cost line items on contracts. - Auto-rate customer billable on orders based on the carrier payable (CR-15626):
For this release, you no longer have to manually transfer additional payable costs from a shipment to the customer on transportation orders. We are automating the transfer process in accordance with the terms of the customer contract. This transfer can occur at a standardized rate, as a direct cost pass-through, or with a pre-determined markup specified in the contract.
Admin
- New Regions feature: (ADMN-169):
We are creating the Regions feature: a user-defined entity that includes or excludes selected cities, states, zip codes, and countries. Regions can be used to define rates, contracts, automation rules, and other requirements to enhance workflows and visibility for shipments that occur in the area defined by the region.
Turvo Network
- Sharing Contracts (CR-15673):
Currently, contracts in Turvo can be associated with customers and carriers, and once created, have lane rates, services, and fuel surcharges added to them. With this release brokers can share contracts with customer or carrier tenants. - Turvo Mobile App-Create BOL (CR-15170):
You will soon have the option to create a BOL for a shipment from the Turvo mobile app and the ability to email the BOL to a customer or carrier.
Settlements and Accounting
- Cost Structure 2.0 (STL-1423):
The current cost structure requires you to navigate the entire list of cost codes and select the appropriate option. With this release for each charge code, we are adding a configuration for the rate qualifier and EDI code and limiting the amount of cost codes available to users. - Cost allocation with Cost items (STL-1273):
Currently, the shipment to order cost allocation process is done at an item level, and does not include the breakup and contribution of the cost codes entered on the shipment’s carrier cost block. With this release, Turvo will display the cost codes in the order cost allocation section.
Data Intelligence
- Design Support for Dispatch Console (DATA-334):
We are working on a real time dashboard that can be used as a visibility layer to provide information to planners and operators.
Transportation, Excellence, and Planning (TEP)
- Exception lockouts (CR-15907):
We are updating the shipment status lockout feature to allow administrators to lock shipment from being updated by users with specific roles if specific exceptions are on the shipment. Once the shipment exception is resolved, then the status will be unlocked for updates. - Customize blacklisted carriers for each customer (CR-12150):
We’re adding the ability to create a custom list of blacklisted carriers for each of your customers. Once configured, blacklisted carriers will be excluded when tendering, offering, and posting your customer’s shipments. This means your customer representatives will no longer need to maintain your customers’ preferred carrier information outside of Turvo.
Integrations.
Integrations
- Greenscreens.ai Integration Enhancement (CR-16009):
We are enhancing the existing Turvo’s Greenscreens.ai integration by connecting to the lane network predictions API and redirecting users to the Greenscreens.ai portal so that they can see all the data trends available on Greenscreens.ai platform. - Payment Acknowledgments integration for TriumphPay (CR-10079):
We are upgrading our integration with TriumphPay to include two-way payment recording between your Turvo tenant and your TriumphPay account. With this integration, Turvo sends carrier and carrier invoice data to and records payment data from TriumphPay, reducing the risk of human error on payment recording. - Turvo secondary IDs synced to Quickbooks Online (QBO) (STL-100):
Turvo will sync Tenant specific secondary IDs with the available Quickbooks Online (QBO) custom fields for internal reference.
