Sharing profiles:

You can now store sharing configurations in different profiles and assign them to your company's carriers or customers. This provides flexibility and configurability to share across the supply chain network while ensuring you are always in control of the information you are sharing.

Users can control how their data is shared to other tenants rather than having to configure a customer's or partner's tenant.

For more information, see the Sharing profiles in Turvo article in the Help Center.

Sharing route segment references:

In this release, we added a configuration that allows you to share Segment ID and Equipment Used details with customer tenants when a carrier is attached to the route segment where that specific customer is linked. When shared to the customer tenant, they can view it as Read Only so they can see the information but are not able to make any changes.

You can enable this configuration in Accounts > Customers > select the customer > Details > Settings > Sharing. Toggle ON Display segment id to customer.

For more information, see the Configuring the sharing of route and segment references article in the Help Center.

Adding Customer IDs and additional attributes in the order List view:
We added the ability to configure up to five customer IDs and five additional attributes at the user level and at the tenant level to add visibility to assigned Turvo IDs in the orders List view.

Admins, super admins, or custom roles with admin permission can add five customer IDs and additional attributes at the tenant level in Admin Console > Settings > Orders > Orders IDs.

  • Toggle the Display customer ID configured for the tenant on orders list view (Choose up to 5 IDs) setting on, add the IDs and then click the SAVE button.

  • Toggle the Display additional attributes configured for the tenant on orders list view (Choose up to 5 Attributes) setting on, add the attributes, and then click the SAVE button.

Important note: If customer IDs and external attributes are set at both the user level and tenant level, the user settings override the tenant settings.

All the added customer IDs and additional attributes are available to add to the order List view in the more options menu (three dots).

You can view the external IDs when you hover with the cursor over value of the external ID or additional attribute.

See the video in CR-13704 (next item) for more details on this feature.

Upgraded order filters:
To improve the consistency between orders and shipments, we renamed several order filter fields and updated specific filter options. These filters changes will work for orders that are created after the 2023-R3 release:

  • Turvo order ID moved from More Filters to being located under Order type and is now Order ID.
  • Date search is now Date range.
  • We added from and to placeholder text to the Total volume fields.

      • City
      • State

Synchronized order and shipment status progression:

We updated our order and shipment status progression so that the order statuses are synced until the delivery is complete for regular shipments.

If an order synced to the shipment, the status of the order is updated to Committed. If the order is removed from the shipment, the status of the order is changed to Confirmed.

For more information, see Syncing the status of Orders and Shipments in the Help Center.

Scheduled appointments and open slots weekly email:

Important note: This feature is not enabled by default in all tenants. Contact your Turvo representative to enable this feature.

For this release, we introduced a new system-generated email that provides  customers and carriers visibility to the number of appointments scheduled for a specific week, in addition to the the direction and time.

This email also provides customers and carriers visibility into the open slots available on a facility for a specific week which can be used for rescheduling.

Cancelled shipments are removed and unlinked from related orders:

Important note: This feature is not enabled by default in all tenants. Contact your Turvo representative to enable this feature.

When a shipment is cancelled that is associated with an order:

  • The shipment is removed from the order in the Shipments tab.
  • The order Timeline provides details about the shipment being removed.
    • Shipment removed. Shipment [#]
      By [USER]
  • The Shipment Timeline includes an entry about the order not being associated anymore.

Turvo Shipment ID now appears in the Memo field of the QBO Customer bill:

Turvo’s Quickbooks integration has been updated so that when a customer invoice is approved in Turvo and triggers the creation of a Customer bill in QBO, the Turvo Shipment ID is added to the Memo field in the Customer bill automatically. This provides additional visibility in QBO’s Transaction List by Vendor report of what shipments are linked to transactions.

Fuel surcharge plans are calculated using the pickup dates on the order:
The Contract Rate now returns a fuel result for the appropriate entry in the Fuel Surcharge table. This fuel result is based on the DOE Fuel Index.

Turvo selects one line based on the pickup date, Index Effectiveness setting, and the Fuel Surcharge index selected in the Fuel Surcharge plan.

If the Pick up is set for a future date, the most recently published value from the index is used.

Operational Groups:

Important Note: Operational Groups are not enabled by default and are available as a limited beta. Reach out to your Turvo representative to discuss enabling this feature.

Operational Groups are a new entity assigned to an order and shipment that let you define guidelines that apply specific behavior during financial settlement and shipment execution. This gives you the flexibility to run your parallel business divisions simultaneously but separately.

There are three types of Operational Groups:

  • Division
  • Order operational group
  • Shipment operational group

For more information, see Operational Groups in the Help Center.

(No: For customers in beta)

Auto-resend user invites after expiration:

We introduced a configuration that allows admin users and those with admin-level permissions to have the system automatically generate a new user invitation once the original one expires. This eliminates the need to go and manually resend user invitations.

For more information on how to enable and use this new feature, see Create and manage users in the Help Center.

Groups are now called Visibility Groups in the User Interface:

With this release, we have renamed user groups to Visibility Groups in the UI. Visibility Groups in Turvo allow you to streamline the visibility of a particular user or group of users. This does not change the functionality of groups as you know them.

This change is part of the new Enterprise TMS initiative.

For more information, see Operational Groups in the Help Center.

Download user data:

Important note: This feature is planned for release to all tenants on July 28, 2023. If you do not see this feature enabled on your tenant, by July 28, 2023, contact your Turvo representative to enable this feature.

We have added the ability to select and download user data for export as either a .csv or .xlsx file.

For downloads that include more than 200 records, the file is emailed to you, even when Download is selected.

CR-12944 and

Intermodal contracts and routing guides:

Before this release, contracts and routing guides did not offer support for intermodal as a mode. Now, contracts and routing guides offer support for intermodal with intermodal specific Equipment lengths, Services, and Hazmat fields. This means you can now offer Hazmat-specific rates and pricing and routing based on various sizes and types of equipment on an intermodal shipment.

For more information, see Create a contract and Using Turvo's routing guide in the Help Center.

Location specific costs on shipments and orders:

You now have the ability to associate accessorial charges to a specific stop in addition to the global location.

As part of this improvement, Turvo:

  • Generates a unique ID for each stop in the global route
  • Shows the Location and Stop ID in the drop-down when adding costs to shipments and orders
  • When adding non-contracted costs, the location with the stop ID is selectable in the drop down

  • When contracted costs are added to a shipment, the location and the stop ID are shown

  • The location and stop ID are shown in the drop down when you add non-contracted costs.

  • The location along with stop ID are shown when a contracted costs are added to a shipment.

Order pickup and delivery dates and times display related to the shipment(s) progress:

Important note: This feature is not enabled by default in all tenants. Contact your Turvo representative to enable this feature.

We aligned orders and shipment to show the actual date, time, and update the order’s timeline for single and multi-leg shipments.

The actual pick up date and time reflects the order’s origin from the first shipment as soon as it is in Picked up status.

The actual date and time originates from where the order address and shipment pickup location and address meet:
Shipment > Details > Route > Pickup > Picked up > Date and time.

Order-to-Shipment association for multi-route segments and non-matching dates:

Important update: This feature did not release with the R3-2023 release. This feature will be available in a future release.

Create LTL contracts in Turvo without SMC3:

Important note: This feature is not enabled by default in all tenants. Contact your Turvo representative to enable this feature.

With this release, users now have the ability to create any LTL contract in Turvo, not just SMC3. Previously, you only had the option to use SMC3 to create contracts. Now, when you choose Mode, the Rate section gives you the option to add SMC3 contract Information or Non-SMC3 contract information.

For more information on this feature, see Add a lane rate to contracts or global rates in the Turvo Help Center.

Separate error criteria for contracts that do not rely on P44, Banyan, or SMC3 and are created in Turvo:

With this release, the LTL ‘Contract’ rating option does not require item details in order to continue.

To learn more about LTL shipments, see our LTL Shipment Guide in the Turvo Help Center.

Additional criteria for groups assignments to shipments:

We added the ability to configure a rule that allows users to add shipment type as an additional criteria within a Group.

This provides the ability to control visibility for Groups in such that transportation shipments are isolated from warehouse shipments.

This new rule can be found by navigating to the Group you wish to apply this rule to and click Details > Settings > Shipments > Create rule.

To learn more, see our Create automatic group assignment rules article in the Help Center.

Update filters pane for consistency between orders & shipments:

For more consistency between orders and shipments, we renamed some filter fields. The filters will work for shipments that are created after the R3 release. The changes are detailed below:

Updated date, Created by, and Hazmat can all be found in the More filters section of the Shipment List View. For more information on filtering shipments, see How to filter shipments in the Help Center.

Restrict shipments with pending accessorial charges from moving to Ready for billing status:

Admin users can restrict users from updating shipment status to Ready for billing when accessorial are pending. Carrier accessorial charges must be approved or rejected before the shipment can be advanced to the Ready for billing status.

Rate Insider Card SONAR data source updates:

Important note: The Rate Insider Card is currently a limited release feature. To participate in the Rate Insider Card beta testing, contact your Turvo representative.

SONAR sunsetted the features that Turvo leveraged to provide data to the Rate Insider card. Turvo now uses an integration with FreightWaves Trusted Rate Assessment Consortium (TRAC) to receive SONAR data.

To use this new feature, your organization will need to have a subscription to FreightWaves SONAR. Customers who already subscribe to the FreightWaves TRAC API can utilize their current API credentials to access the data through Turvo.

See Turvo's Rate insider card [Limited Release] to learn more about leveraging the rate insider card’s historical and market pricing data to help you better negotiate lane rates with your carrier network.

If your tenant includes the Multi-leg shipment feature and your organization utilizes a Snowflake reader account for data analytics, shipments listed in Snowflake now include their parent shipment ID if they are part of a multi-leg shipment.
